Double win at Superkarts! USA in Lancaster!
Superkarts! USA Pro Kart tour finished off their 2017 campaign at the exciting temporary circuit held in Lancaster, California. Characterized by enormous enthusiasm, the temporary circuit which offers high speeds and a daunting braking zone at the end of the ‘Boulevard always provides several challenges for competitors. The immense enthusiasm is seen by the large turnout of drivers who are rewarded with a crowd estimated above 10,000 spectators!
With not less than nine (9) COMPKART pilots in the X30 Sr. spread out between the factory as well as California distributor Formula Works and dealer MDG (Motorsports Development Group) the brand amazed the competition by out pacing and putting on stellar performances throughout the field. Showcased by the 1-2 finishes the heat races by Date Yu and Austin Garrison who were trailed by MDG driver Andrick Zeen until contact was made in the second heat the brand occupied three of the top four spots! The duo of Yu and Garrison took a front row lockout for COMPKART heading for the start of the final, which he duo proceeded to lead the way until just past halfway when Garrison made contact with the outside barriers in turn three ending his amazing first run in Lancaster. With Garrison’s departure, Yu kept his head down and continued to gap the competition and secure his second Prokart win of the year by over 10 seconds! Next up was Andrick Zeen who challenged his way forward from 18th to finish to a solid 6th place finish while several other COMPKART drivers lit up the night in Lancaster across the final tally.
“This is a fantastic race for Karting and SKUSA has provided a great event for everyone involved. Temporary circuits offer a completely different set of challenges, much like what we will see in Las Vegas. So, to see our brand dominate the way it did, we have a high-level of confidence heading into the Super Nationals.” – COMPKART Management
