Erie, PA – December 12, 2025 – Race Rotax (operated by Karting Solutions Group, KSG) is the newly appointed U.S. National Partner for Rotax Karting, which was announced Thursday, along with the strategic adjustment to the 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge (RMC) Winter Trophy calendar.
Previously, the U.S. market was served by two independent distributors: Race Rotax, which has been operating since 2018 under the J3 Competition banner within its defined territory, and RTX USA Group, which served a separate territory. Effective immediately, Race Rotax (now operated by KSG) will consolidate these territories to become the sole factory-authorized distributor for all BRP-Rotax karting line products, including Rotax engines, across the United States.
Following its appointment by Rotax Karting to unify the U.S. network, Race Rotax (KSG) has assumed organizational management of the national RMC calendar. This strategic consolidation ensures maximum consistency and stability for all competitors nationwide.
Race Rotax wishes to thank all teams, dealers, service centers, and the karting community for the overwhelmingly positive feedback on the consolidation of Rotax distribution in the U.S. and the recent organizational & event changes.
RMC Winter Trophy Relocation
Due to circumstances beyond its control, KSG has adjusted the location of the RMC Winter Trophy, which was originally scheduled for the Orlando Kart Center. Following KSG’s appointment as the sole national organizer, changes in venue agreement terms made it necessary to relocate the Rotax program because KSG could no longer host the event at the previous venue.
KSG immediately prioritized the continuity of the series, choosing not to cancel the event but instead relocating it to the highly regarded Speedsportz Racing Park in New Caney, Texas. The event will run across two weekends: January 23-25 and January 30-February 1, 2026.
This decision demonstrates the unified KSG leadership’s commitment to providing a clear, optimal path for the karting community, ensuring the RMC Winter Trophy remains positioned to kick off the national karting season and deliver maximum value to teams and racers.
The Road to the Rotax Grand Finals
The RMC Winter Trophy is an international event open to drivers globally, offering a highly competitive start to the 2026 season. The series will be contested over two back-to-back weekends (January 23-25 and January 30-February 1, 2026).
At stake are coveted invitations to the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Portimão, Portugal. A total of six Grand Finals tickets will be awarded to the overall champions at the conclusion of the event on February 1, 2026. Registration opens at Noon CST, Friday, December 12, on RaceRotax.com! More details will be coming out over the next week. Competitors and fans are encouraged to visit RaceRotax.com to receive exclusive updates by signing up for the informative newsletters.
Focus on Competitor Value and Logistics
This strategic adjustment is part of Race Rotax’s ongoing commitment to optimize the national RMC program and support the growing community of Rotax racers.
“This strategic adjustment prioritizes the competitor experience above all else,” stated Sean Scott, Director of Commercial Development at KSG. “Relocating the Winter Trophy to Speedsportz allows for smarter logistics by aligning with other major winter series in the region. This single action immediately delivers value to national teams by reducing travel and operating costs, while utilizing a premier, centralized, state-of-the-art venue. We believe this move will ensure the Winter Trophy remains a must-attend event for the karting community.”
Race Rotax also confirms that the US Trophy Final remains a cornerstone event of the Race Rotax program, and the organization looks forward to announcing its new dates and location soon.
The transition process will prioritize continuity and communication. Again – Registration for the 2026 RMC Winter Trophy at Speedsportz will open at Noon CST on December 12, 2025, located on RaceRotax.com
