With one race to go in the 2009 championship series, many drivers utilizing the Kosmic and Vortex brands showed the way at the Beaverun Karting Complex. One of the most hotly contested classes was the TaG Sr. category where several drivers (15 to be exact) took the green flag and battled to the final checkered. In the end, Vortex ROK TT powered chassis went 1-2-3 with young Robert Bujdoso taking the win, while Kosmic drivers were represented equally as well with John Flucker IV (3rd), Audrey Staton (5th), John Flucker III (7th), Joe Sylvester (8th), Jennifer Neal (9th), and Thomas Page (14th).
Next Up was the Cadet category with a stacked field of great competitors, Tyler Frankenberry took the checkered just ahead of Leo Stoia. Frankenberry was running his Kosmic ROCKY FIK version chassis. Finishing up in the junior division was the Yamaha Jr. Supercan category. This class was once again taken by Kosmic pilot Trenton Walko who took the final checkered with over a three second margin of victory showing great speed and the ability of the Kosmic ‘Mercury’ in the lower horsepower categories. The final class on track for action was the Shifter/TaG Masters division where Brian McHattie from DB Motorsports competed with his Kosmic ‘LYNX’ stock moto package taking home fifth place honors.
