RACE DEPARTMENT US ROTAX NATIONALS PREVIEW

After a successful double win in the junior category during the June Pan American Championship, J3 Competition and several Kosmic Kart pilots are on the right track for this July’s Rotax US Nationals. Hosted earlier than years past, several of America’s top drivers will encroach upon New Castle, IN for the weeklong event which will determine the flag bearers for the United States at the World Finals later this year in La Conca, Italy.

With several satellite teams and drivers utilizing the Kosmic mark distributed solely by J3 Competition, the Race Department will also enter two of its own driver’s – Alessandra Madrigal and Andrew Palmer in the junior category. Both drivers’ will be utilizing the Kosmic ‘Mercury’ model chassis in New Castle along with Supertune power – a combination that has proven its potential throughout 2010 thus far.

Palmer is coming off a solid outing at the Pan American championship, which showed that his speed is among the best. Looking poised for a solid podium finish during Sunday’s Pan-AM action, Palmer was sidelined in the pre-final with a mechanical DNF. Palmer successful recovered from the DNF in the final by starting deep in the thirties to finish a solid 8th place along with the fastest lap of the final. Alongside Palmer for the event will be Alessandra Madrigal who will be coming back into action after a mid season hiatus to the Philippines. Madrigal who has competed in over fourteen events thus far in 2010 will return with a full schedule for the remainder of 2010 with the commencement of the US Nationals

The 2010 US Nationals are shaping up to be the largest turnout yet and with the level of competition being at an all time high the event is going to offer stellar racing. “The duration of this particular event is something that forces an unique set of challenges” – stated Justin Stefani. “Not only are we working within our Race Department, but we are also offering unparalleled support to the entire fleet of Kosmic pilots along with significant product support.
The start of the US Nationals represents a near four week run at which the J3 Competition Race Department will be on the road competing in arguably the biggest events held in North America during the 2010 calendar year. After its stop in New Castle, J3 Competition will head to New Jersey to embark on competition for two weeks amongst the world’s finest cut of drivers.
