J3 Competition Race Department is one of the most acknowledged teams in today’s market, which is due to its relentless passion extending the threshold of performance, service, knowledge and technical advantages.
This past weekend (September 19-20) the staff alongside its drivers and partners showed these very traits across a multitude of platforms with its COMPKART chassis line.
The hype of the prestigious RoboPong200 and the surrounding event was as big as it has ever been this year. The event which is characterized by 200 laps around the famed New Castle Motorsports Park pairs two drivers in an all-out endurance race. This spectacular event is also home to several additional categories and this year the much anticipated IAME Mini Swift category was the one to watch.
IAME Mini Swift > Our driver Luca Mars paired with Kartwerks were aboard the COMPKART Ranger28 model chassis developed in-house after a multitude of developments proved to be the combination to beat. Mars took the pole position in the hotly contested category, which he followed up with a big win and nice $2,500 USD payday, not a bad days work for the nine year old driver.
#RoboPong200 > Lined up aboard the COMPKART Covert 3.0 were Braden Eves and Derek Dignan who qualified a solid 5th place for the long 200 lap event. The team made a few changes to enhance the performance and it showed as they were clocked fastest in warm up. The speed led the duo toward taking the lead early on in the final leading until around the 40 lap mark before a mechanical failure sidelined their chances at the share of the $10K wining prize.
