MOJO Tire Report #3 | Stars & Stripes Open

The second official Rotax Stars & Stripes event took place at Pitt International Race Complex with continued success for the organization. The event was hosted by J3 Competition utilized the MoJo tire for all categories with a combination of the new revitalized D2 and D5 slick tire compounds for all the official RMC categories. With sunny and warm weather coupled with a high grip race track that boasts an adhesion liner in each corner for protection added an enormous amount of grip. The high grip surface ended up not being an issue for competitors. As usual chassis setup varied but mainly all drivers were removing mechanical grip allowing their chassis to be near ‘neutral’ and thus keeping the costs down form a ‘tuning’ standpoint as well as enhancing the racing between drivers..
Competitors were only given one set of slicks to manage from Qualifying onward, and with full dry conditions after qualifying that equated to nearly 75 laps of competition on a single set of slicks. The competitors and team’s had tremendous feedback on the tires as not only the grip level(s) were sustainable but the tire lasted the entire event proving for some amazing racing in the event’s final stages as well as fast laps taking place at the end of the event.

“These tires are the key to the future, performance with durability is going to keep the cost in check, NOT to mention we are doing our fastest times in the final. I’m going to push for the MOJO tire at our club track!”
“I was skeptical, but these tires have a amazing grip level and last forever. I want our club to switch tomorrow, the racing and cost savings for the competitors are going to be exponential! and I’m actually a little tired as these are just unbelievable feel and grip..phew.!”
