January 19, 2026 – By David Cole
On January 10, Race Rotax announced an expanded race calendar for the 2026 season. Race Rotax – part of Karting Solutions Group umbrella – is set to host three events this year as part of two separate programs that will run alongside the SKUSA Pro Tour schedule, open to drivers throughout the USA and the international karting community.
The three events will be broken up into two programs – the RMC America’s Trophy and the RMC Trophy Final. The RMC America’s Trophy will travel to the Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, AZ in March before a June stop at the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati in Batavia, OH. The third and final event will be the fifth edition of the RMC Trophy Final and is set for July 31-August 2 at the New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana. The RMC America’s Trophy will be a best three of four rounds championship format while the RMC Trophy Final remains a one main event weekend for each category.
“Our recently announced alignment with the SKUSA Pro Tour schedule has created a fantastic race calendar and event structure for our participants and race teams,” Sean Scott of Race Rotax told EKN. “The calendar presents a unique opportunity to streamline logistics for our participating teams and competitors. I believe the America’s Trophy races and Trophy Final will be three can’t miss events in 2026.”
The categories offered for both the RMC America’s Trophy and the RMC Trophy Final include five Rotax Max Challenge divisions – Senior MAX, Junior MAX, Masters MAX, Mini MAX, and Micro MAX. FZ Shifter categories will run in conjunction at both programs as support classes. The FZ85 Junior class is for drivers 12 to 15 years old utilizing the FZ85 engine platform with the FZ125 Senior division for drivers 15 years and older powered by the FZ125 motor.
“The FZ Shifter platform’s value proposition has quite a bit in common with the Rotax platform’s value proposition, with both platforms’ reliability and affordability being second to none,” added Scott. “FZ Shifter’s pricing structure and unique leasing program make the package an attractive option for both existing and aspiring shifter kart drivers. We look forward to seeing the FZ Shifter categories on the national stage in 2026.”
The expansive prize package for the RMC America’s Trophy and RMC Trophy Final is still in development. Currently, a total of 10 tickets to the 2026 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals will be available to win, with the race scheduled for November 21-28 at the Kartodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, Portugal. Champions at the America’s Trophy in Mini MAX, Junior MAX and Senior MAX, along with runner-up in the Senior MAX category, will receive a ticket. Winners at the US Trophy Final in Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Masters MAX, Junior MAX and Senior MAX, along with the runner-up in the Senior MAX category, will receive a ticket. A future announcement will include the prize package for the FZ Shifter categories at both programs along with additional prizes for the Rotax divisions.
