About TKL
The primary objective of the series is to introduce Rotax MAX kart racing across the state and enhance the US Trophy series, ultimately culminating in the Grand Finals, often referred to as the Olympics of karting. Additionally, Briggs LO206 categories will be included to further support the strong Texas contingent. Briggs racers will adhere to the same sporting regulations as the RMC Texas categories, thus providing them with exposure to one of the most robust rulesets in karting. It is worth noting that all sporting penalties in the Briggs category will be reduced. We feel this will help ease newer racers into this level of competition.
The Rotax Club MAX category has been included; this serves as an excellent transition package from 4-stroke to 2-stroke engines. This category features performance comparable to the IAME KA100 but with a more manageable maintenance schedule. Utilizing the same kit as the Junior MAX, it presents a powerful yet budget-friendly option that can be later upgraded to a
Senior or Masters MAX. Rental engines are available from several dealers including Karting Depot or Fox + Son Karting.
Several other regions across the country will be running series of their own soon, and the US Finals will pit region vs region for special awards.
